According to the word of the Ethiopian Ambassador in the Arab Republic of Egypt, SEM. Taye Atske-Selassie Amde:

“The introduction of the electronic visa and the peace treaty signed between the Ethiopian and Eritrean governments allows the two countries to get closer because the two countries are from the same family but separated by colonialism. We are happy to celebrate this occasion and hope that the whole world will also celebrate with us. Ethiopian Airline is already starting flights to Asmara, Massawa and Assab.

This is good news for Ethiopian and Eritrean families separated for more than 20 years without reconciliation. We can say that it is a treaty that looks like the 1970 treaty between Israel and Egypt, it happened quickly and abruptly. This left us all in surprise.

Regarding the electronic visa project initiated by our government, it is a project that allows abort to Ethiopia to join the project of African integration because it facilitates everyone to visit Ethiopia for family reunion, business, tourism and investment without having harassment to obtain the entry visa.”

As part of the new vision of Ethiopian Airlines by 2025, the company expects to increase the number of Boeing aircraft to 145 aircraft to meet the needs of its customers. The E-visa project of the Ethiopian government in combination with the new vision of Ethiopian Airlines will surely attract visitors to increase foreign investment in the land of Queen of Seba.
